Having a professional photographer for a father meant always being in front of the camera. Little did I know that years later my true passion would lie behind it. I always knew that my father had impressed upon me the love of photography but it wasn’t until I had my son Shane that I truly realized in my heart how much a part of me it is. I believe that capturing even ordinary moments is priceless for generations to come. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to share this gift. Many years prior to my Dad’s stroke, he had several apprentices, one of which was Craig Michael. We have stayed in touch and when the opportunity arose to open a studio in the exact location that my father had worked for so many years, Craig generously offered to pass on to me the knowledge that he had once learned from my Dad. I also look forward to continue learning all that I can from my father, although difficult due to his aphasia. My father is such an inspiration and I can only hope to make him proud.
